The EXC GSM 01 from LOVATO Electric is the ideal solution for applications requiring remote actuation of relay outputs and system data acquisition via programmable SMS.
LOVATO Electric's EXC GSM SW configuration software enables the user to control the relay output and both the digital and analog inputs.
The software is available for download free of charge from www.lovatoelectric.com/EXCGSM01/EXCGSM01/snp, and does not require any installation.
It is easy to use, with a logic based on events, including activation of the digital input or reception of a custom SMS, to which the user can respond either by SMS or voice message, or by switching the relay output.
All settings can be saved into a file to enable easy replication of the configuration for multiple GSM modems.
The product also enables remote disconnection of photovoltaic and wind power plant interfaces as required by attachment M to the CEI 0-16 standard.
Other typical applications include: detection of boiler temperature thresholds, fluid tank level alarms, time and date based load management, remote lighting and air conditioning system control, and hire equipment motion alarms.
What is more, the analog input, when connected to physical sensors (pressure, fluid level or temperature), enables remote reporting via SMS of current values and alarms to one or multiple phones when anomalous values are encountered.
The digital input is suited to take over the signal status.
The EXC GSM 01 modem interfaces with the cellular network to regularly update its internal clock and dawn/dusk settings, so that it can manage time-scheduled events properly.
Furthermore, the system uses phone network cells for geolocation, so that the modem can send an SMS when its location changes from where it should be.
